Melanie Marban
Associate Attorney
Melanie is an estate planning associate attorney at Sims & Campbell. Melanie graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. Degree in History and a Minor in Public Health. Melanie went on to receive her J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School. While in law school, Melanie clerked for the Delaware Office of the Attorney General Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. She also participated in the Wills for Heroes Program and Alzheimer’s Association events.
Prior to Sims & Campbell, Melanie worked as managing attorney at a real estate title company where she reviewed estates and trusts and prepared deeds for residential and commercial property transfers. When her father passed away, she witnessed first-hand what happens when you fail to have an estate plan in place. After advising thousands of clients through emotional real estate transactions, Melanie’s personal experience inspired her to make a career change. She went on to work for another Maryland law firm where she gained experience in estate planning and presented seminars to the public on the importance of ensuring your wishes are honored.
Melanie was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and she moved to Maryland after law school to pursue her legal career. She currently resides in Riva with her husband and their rescue dog. Melanie enjoys traveling, cooking, and watching professional tennis. She also sponsors a United States Naval Academy midshipman.
