Jud Hurlbert

Jud is an associate attorney with Sims & Campbell, who works collaboratively with clients to craft estate plans. Every client’s situation is unique, and Jud strives to ensure that a client’s estate plan reflects those individual needs and special circumstances.

Jud received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Furman University. He earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore, graduating cum laude and having worked extensively with the University’s Low Income Taxpayers Clinic. He also received the Chairman Vallario Legislative Award for Trusts and Estates, working with the Maryland State Bar Association Estate and Trust Section Legislative Committee.

Prior to coming to Sims & Campbell, Jud worked with multiple small-business government contractors, with a focus on contractual issues, and with a financial institution, focusing on contracts and third-party relationships.

Jud grew up in Mobile, Alabama, later relocating to South Carolina, and eventually to Northern Virginia. He now finds himself in Baltimore City with his wife, Stephanie, and their four cats (pictures always available upon request).
